Introducing the First NICE Editions Drop, feat. Paul Baldonado
Photography was made to be lived with, not just scrolled. For our 5th anniversary, we’re so excited to launch NICE Editions, a new series of hand-crafted darkroom print releases that celebrate the craft, the community, and the slower rhythm of film photography. Our very first Drop features the street photography of Paul Baldonado, also known as Paulie B.
This feels like a full-circle moment. The Drop celebrates the streets of New York, where Nice Film Club first began. Paul’s work is the perfect reflection of what drew us together in the first place: images that are curious, empathetic, and alive with the everyday pulse of the city.

About Paul Baldonado
Paul Baldonado, or Paulie B, is a New York–based street photographer who has a gift for catching the fleeting, authentic moments that make city life so compelling. His photos move between energy and quiet, from packed subway rides to small gestures that pass in a blink. Beyond his own practice, Paul also created the well-loved street photography series Walkie Talkie and shares his process with a wide community on his YouTube channel.
“I just like to go out and take pictures, letting the day guide what I see. There’s no set plan; just paying attention and reacting to what feels right. The photos are simply the result of being there and pressing the shutter when something happens.”
This Drop: Limited Edition, Darkroom Originals
The edition will feature just three prints, each in a small edition of 15. No two are exactly alike. Each one is more than just a picture; it’s an artifact of process. You’ll notice the subtle grain of the paper, the depth of silver gelatin tones, and the quiet mark of time, all preserved in ways digital can’t match. These are prints made to be lived with, whether that’s on your walls or in the everyday spaces you call home.
What’s New: The Drops Collection & NFC’s New Platform
Paul’s release also marks the start of something bigger: our freshly redesigned site. It’s where NICE Editions will live alongside our year-round Permanent Collection, plus small-batch books, zines, and a growing set of NFC merch. Together, it all creates a space for collecting and living with photography, an extension of the community we’ve been building for the past five years.
Why It Matters
Five years of Nice Film Club has meant screenings, darkroom sessions, conversations, and a shared love for film. Now, with artist Drops and a dedicated home for prints, we’re stepping into a new chapter, one that makes it possible to bring the craft of photography into your daily life.
Paul Baldonado’s Drop is just the beginning. Stay tuned for the next release.
Thanks for being here.
